Transferring to us

Susan & David

The fostering journey for Susan and David began a decade ago, sparked by their experiences working in a school where they saw many teenagers struggling without safe places to go. After several years with an agency that eventually lost its personal touch, they transitioned to Kasper after receiving recommendations from fellow foster carers. They were immediately impressed by the agency’s friendly atmosphere, its emphasis on putting children first, and the high level of support provided during the transition process.

“I thought that teaching was fulfilling, but foster care takes it to a completely different level. We have met so many wonderful children and, of course, the team around those children as well. We would have stopped fostering if we hadn’t found Kasper; the support that we’re given means that we can really relax into our role.”

They found immense fulfillment in helping children of all ages find stability, particularly through the process of adoption. Ultimately, their goal was to provide children with a sense of belonging and a permanent family, ensuring they didn’t have to move repeatedly within the foster care system.
